Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens, a 160-acre botanical garden in La Cañada near Los Angeles, boasts the largest camellia collection in North America, as well as an International Rosarium, Japanese Garden, native plant area, outdoor theater, bird station, art exhibits and seasonal horticultural displays. Thousands of school children participate in Descanso's nature education programs. Adults and children participate in seasonal festivals and year-round classes. Descanso, with a variety of "climate zones," is a favorite site for film and commercial makers as well as tour operators and families.
