Wagner Society of Southern California

The Wagner Society of Southern California was founded in 1982 in Los Angeles County.  It has been an active avenue of pursuit for those interested in Richard Wagner, both man and artist. Since then, meetings and programs have been held every other month with the finest of speakers regarding Wagner, his life, times, music-dramas and influence. From its inception the Wagner Society of Southern California has had yearly tributes honoring Wagnerian artists. For over two decades the highlight of each summer has been when members of the society journey to the Bayreuth Festival in Germany, lead by the society’s president.
