EVENT DESCRIPTION
Meet gods, dwarves, giants and mermaids in the Wagnerian romp The Rhine’s Gold. Based on Wagner’s opera, Das Rhinegold, this production by We Tell Stories features a puppet dwarf, charming costumes transformed from ordinary objects, musical experts from opera, and audience participation. For children ages 5 – 12 and their families. FREE.
We Tell Stories is a multi-ethnic community of artists that seeks to educate and nurture young audiences by reconnecting them with the ancient powers and wisdom of storytelling and theatre. WTS performances blend storytelling and audience participatory theatre to bring world folklore, fairy tales, literature, legends, and mythology to joyful life. WTS performs at schools, theatres, art centers, libraries, festivals and special events - reaching over 150,000 people annually.
