The program, hosted by the Los Angeles Arts Month Committee on January 5, 2010 at the REDCAT included remarks from the Mayor of Los Angeles, special guests, and a special appearance from two members of the Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program at the LA Opera.  The main intention of the press conference was to celebrate the ats that will take place in Los Angles not only in the month of January, but throughout the year--with the 2010 centerpiece being Ring Festival LA.
