Festival LA County Board of Supervisors
commends Ring Festival LA


At the July 21, 2009 Board of Supervisors' meeting, Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky introduced a motion in which the Board commends LA Opera for its leadership in presenting Wagner's monumental Ring cycle and in developing a Ring Festival LA that truly is broad and inclusive and which, for the first time ever, presents a number of symposia and programs that will address Richard Wagner's abhorrent anti-Semitism as a piece of his legacy. The Board of Supervisors voted to approve the motion.
